UNDECIDED About Seeing Super Show 2 in Manila?

After this post, you will buy your Super Junior Super Show II in Manila ticket. I am not kidding.

Ready? Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

• SM Entertainment is arguably the biggest pop enterprise in Korea. In order for SME to entrust their artist to a promoter, it will take A LOT of convincing, a lot of assurances, and it has to be said, a lot of money. Now, by all means the Philippines is poor on the international concert stage. I’m talking about Western bands here. What more Korean bands? So, chances are, if you think missing out on Super Junior is okay because they are just a Korean boyband, you are most definitely wrong. Chances are, this concert less than a week from now is one of the most epic concerts you can ever experience in Manila.

• Hehe, his name is Eeteuk. He is the leader of Super Junior and while he fails most of the time to control his members, this guy is one of the most respected leaders in the pop industry. He also has a dimple on his right cheek that makes his smile so amazingly cute to look at. And he can sing. And he is being recognized for his ability to be really entertaining in variety shows. And he’s a great MC. I could go on.

• Eunhyuk is Asia’s Anchovy. He can dance LIKE HELL. And I’m being perfectly unbiased here. Let me link you to videos. Enough said.

• If you went to U-Kiss because it’s free, fine. If you bought an F.T. Island ticket for, say, the best seats at 5,000Php, fine. But consider that that was 5,000Php for 1 hour of music (with a good seat). You think, that SVIP Super Junior ticket is too expensive! But then consider that that is 8,000Php for 3 full hours of music (with a good seat!). Can’t do math? Let’s just say that’s 2,660Php an hour, roughly 50% of what you had to pay for F.T. Island. I LOVE F.T. Island and U-Kiss (oh boy I do), don’t get me wrong. But you can’t say the math doesn’t speak for itself.

• Shindong. Now, Super Junior has a member that is NOT SKINNY OMG FOR REAL. I’m only saying this because it’s what people first notice and to be honest it’s nothing to feel offended about. In fact, I am proud of it. This guy can dance, and his talent is well-recognized in Korea. Not only that, he also hosts a radio show and is often in variety shows because he can carry a show. A real entertainer.

• Super Junior has some of the catchiest and amusing Kpop songs ever. Their single from their third album—Sorry Sorry made it to a number of international hit charts. They have songs from happy to fierce to rock to electropop awesome, that are really amazing when performed live. Don’t miss the chance to dance to their catchy songs with the music blaring in your ears and the boys dancing with you!

• Kim Heechul. The flower. Cinderella. The cat lady. Jang Geun Suk’s friend. Hongki’s idol. Kim Jung mo’s friend. He kisses other members on stage. Yes. It is impossible to describe just how freakishly awesome Kim Heechul is. He is such a good actor that he got more drama gigs than resident actor Kim Kibum (and Kibum is my favorite). He trolls the internet for gif’s of him made by fans. He uploads videos of him talking to his new kitten. He is a depressed internet whore. I cannot even begin to express how much I love this guy. He also knows all the girl group dances, and would force the other members to perform the dance—in concert, in costume. Yes.

• See #6? Well how many times will you be able to see Kim Heechul dance a girl group dance LIVE. ON STAGE. FUCKING FABULOUS. If I don’t get you to bring your wallet out right now, you’re a sad and repressed person.

• The biggest concert stage ever built in the Philippines. That’s a world record. Be a part of history. I mean, after this, it’s no longer record-breaking. Or, you can always try beating the world record for being the world’s most kill joy no-sense-of-epic person ever. Or, you can participate in Lovapalooza next year, but I think that’s iffy. I’d rather kiss in private, thanks.

• Choi Siwon. He praises God while his abs work magic. It’s so weird because he’s so religious but he shows his abs off in concert. Haha. He has such amazing eyebrows that fans have a name for it. He’s like James Bond, without the violence. He’s tall and well-built and a modern day prince, I’m not even kidding. Just look at him. He’s the nicest person you’d ever want to manhandle you.

• Yesung. I’m going to be biased here. I LOVE YESUNG. He’s so weird but he has such an amazing, cool, sultry voice I don’t even know. All I know is, though, that to watch him live would be a very very pleasurable experience. (Random adorable weirdo WTFACT: He likes to touch the other members’ philtrum’s while they sleep. This makes me depressed because I actually don’t have a philtrum.)

• It’s the first ever large venue Korean pop music event in the Philippines. I have to admit this particular point is directed to Kpop fans, but it’s true. If you appreciate Korean pop music, even if you don’t exactly listen to Super Junior, even a Gen Ad ticket at 1,000Php would be worth the experience. Skip your Starbucks for a month, or save on meals—less calories, more fun! Lower your phone credit allowance, don’t go to the mall for a few weeks—less consumer dependency, more awesome experiences!

• Lee Donghae. Enough said. I mean, he’s the most boyish, hottest, cutest, nicest boy ever. Really! He can sing well and dance well at the same time. He loves his parents so much and worked so hard for them too, it’s just very touching to see. Not to mention, he has such a boyish grin it makes girls swoon FOREVER. Yeah this is based on experience, and I haven’t even seen him in person yet—until this Saturday!!! ALSO HE IS VERY HOT. Look at those arms. :9

• Ryeowook. What can I say? This guy can SING. Sure he looks kinda small, not very manly. But not everyone has to be manly, or like manly guys! It’s about the talent, anyway. Besides, he’s so cute. Hehe. (If you are going to make remarks about members looking like they are gay—don’t even talk to me about it. It’s a big “SO WHAT?” and you will only look like a douchebag.) ALSO– He might just perform Insomnia again THAT WAS SO FREAKING HOT FOR RYEOWOOK. I mean, Ryeowookie!? Uh-huh. (Watch that video!)

• Kyuhyun. This guy is evil. No, really. He’s the youngest but he gets away with sharp remarks to the older members. He is addicted to Starcraft and as a girl who loves her geeks, that is incredibly hot. Also, he can sing. Oh boy can he sing. He loves praise songs though, and that’s just adorable. Did I say he is evil? I meant snarky. As you can see, just describing Kyuhyun makes me so excited I start to not make sense. Haha.

• Pyrotechnics. In Araneta. Who doesn’t love pyrotechnics?? You can expect an awesome light and sound experience. It is a real show. Get your senses heightened and lose yourself in the moment! At least that’s what I’m expecting and I’m pretty sure I’m not far off the mark.

• This is a PULP Live! Concert. I’m saying you are more than sure that you’ll get your money’s worth. PULP has been known to get some of the most anticipated rock acts and now they’re branching into pop, so that’s doubly special.

• Sungmin. This guy. He’s just so talented and a complete charmer. Admittedly he’s more reserved than the others—but that’s because he’s the kind of gold your indie friends talk about—that guitar guy with a sweet voice and mild charm that makes you forget to breathe when you watch him perform.

• Kangin, Kibum, Hankyung. I AM DEEPLY SORRY THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THEIR OWN NUMBERS. But they won’t be attending, so, in order to reserve my sorrow as well as yours—they will be mentioned together like this. I would personaly have loved just watching Kibum and his arms of sex (sorry, minors) even if he doesn’t sing a single line because his smile is perfect. DAZZLING SNOW WHITE FOREVER BEAUTIFUL. And Kangin? Fans hate on him but he was one of my first favorites. People just don’t see how hard he works and how much he loves Super Junior—you have to watch this video. Now Hankyung… Ahh Hankyung. This bird has flown free—and that’s all I’m going to say. He’s one of the hottest and most talented Chinese people ever. SEE WIKIPEDIA. It’s all true.

• But don’t despair at the lack of 3 members–because there’s Zhou Mi and Henry!!! While I am personally not a super SJ-M fan, I can say that just by looking THESE BOYS ARE HOT. Henry is so freaking talented too <3

• Super Show 2 is not just a concert—it’s a festival! Of love! More than a month before the event itself, fans have been preparing like crazy! It’s one of the rare chances you can show your support physically and be able to show your gratitude to boys who have worked hard for years to be real, sincere entertainers. It’s a time-honored tradition to hold special surprises from the fans to the members. For example, the simultaneous changing of lightsticks never fails to make the boys feel incredibly touched to the point of tears. No words can express the amazing feeling of being part of something bigger than you. Think about it. Your heart swelling with pride because it’s not just your heart, it’s everyone else’s too. Together.

• If you’re not there, chances are you will regret it for the rest of your life as Korean music fan. If you feel even the slightest tinge of WANT—I’m telling you now, go for it. Get that Upper Box or Gen Ad ticket. You WILL regret it if you make your excuses and not get a ticket now. And if you say that you won’t and afterwards you insist that you didn’t, I’m pretty sure that’s a hefty ball of bitterness you’ll have to swallow.

• It’s m!$@&#ing Super Junior. The 13(+2)-member boy band. If that’s not a sight to see, I don’t know what is.
